The Hub Dashboard is a powerful tool designed for a currency exchange company. It streamlines daily branch operations, including money transfers, currency exchange, and employee leave management.
To stay concise here, below are some key highlights from the project. If you would like to discuss this project in detail, kindly reach out to me.
This application serves as the starting point for all employees, from front desk associates to branch managers. The dashboard empowers users to initiate, process, track, and complete their daily tasks.
Employee tasks like currency exchange and fund transfers are currently bundled into a single application suite. Each of these tasks functioning as distinct modules, lack hierarchy and consistent human-computer interaction standards.
Screenshots of Hub Dashboard's current state.
User groups such as administrators and operators have distinct goals and functions. However, all employees currently face the same cluttered menus and information, making it challenging and inefficient to complete their tasks.
User Persona for Hub Dashboard.
Through research, feedback from users, and collaborating with stakeholders, the major tasks were boiled down to what's below:
Users with different responsibilities (administrators and operators) taking the same identical path to complete different jobs has proven to be inefficient and an impediment in the user journey.
Poor usability is a result of the existing design's lack of usability principles including user control, accessibility compliance, recallability, consistency, etc.
The present color scheme does not follow the brand and did not contribute to the interface's efficiency. The page appeared dated and cold due to the elements' design.
Incorporating human-computer interactions standards throughout the design improved usability, goal completion, and efficiency.
With improved focus on the right areas of the UI based on user expectations, and data hierarchy, users could easily filter and read through data that are relevant.
Overall user experience design has been updated to create a design language that promotes familiarity, purpose, and consistency across all modules.
